Luciad is participating at the annual Air Transportation Information Exchange Conference, on August 30 – September 01, 2011 at the NOAA Science Center & Auditorium, Silver Spring, MD, USA.
The conference provides a forum to discuss and exchange concepts and practices related to major global changes in aeronautical information, information services, and other information sharing related topics to the rapidly growing AIM community.
Luciad participates in the speaking slot on August 30, 2011 together with the FAA. During this presentation, we will discuss the history and future of the AIXM Viewer that was developed specifically for the FAA, for the portrayal of AIXM 5 aeronautical data.
In addition, throughout the event, Luciad will be showcasing the SAA Pilot application built with LuciadMap; our flagship product for building aeronautical information systems with class leading graphical display capabilities.
The SAA Pilot application demonstrates the visualization, filtering, and interactive control of Special Activity Airspace (SAA) information, in an OGC standards based environment. The application illustrates how LuciadMap enables the visualization and interaction of many different types of data, in order to simplify the complex decision making processes such as in flight planning operations.
